March Reading Wrap-Up | 5 Books & A New Favorite

March was full of magic, mystery, and a whole lot of witchy vibes—and I loved every second of it. I set a goal to read five books this month, and I actually did it! Honestly, I’m giving myself a little high-five over here.

Here’s a look at the books I read in March and what I thought of each one:

1. The Book of Azrael by Amber V. Nicole

This was hands down my favorite read of the month! Diana completely stole my heart—she’s fierce, sarcastic, and will do anything for her sister. I’m a sucker for a morally gray character and ancient power dynamics, and this book brought that in full force. The world was dark and rich, and I’m already itching to pick up book two.

2. Caraval by Stephanie Garber

This was such a whimsical, twisty ride! I loved how dreamlike the writing felt, and the setting of Caraval itself was absolutely enchanting. Scarlett’s devotion to her sister hit me right in the feels. Plus, I live for stories where the magic messes with your head a bit.

3. Accidental Leigh by Melanie James

Okay, I had high hopes for this one—it looked like a fun, magical read with some humor thrown in. But honestly? It didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The plot felt kind of scattered, and I couldn’t really connect with the characters. It had potential, but it just wasn’t my vibe.

4. Thorne by Ketley Allison

This book had such a mysterious, broody vibe and I was totally into it. The characters had depth, the tension was real, and the story kept me turning pages late into the night. If you like your fantasy with a little grit and some serious chemistry, give this one a shot.

5. Boss Witch by H.P. Mallory

Witches, warlocks, and vampires—yes, please. This was such a fun, neon-lit magical adventure. I loved the worldbuilding and the strong female lead who’s out here doing her own thing. A little sass, a little danger, and a whole lot of witchy vibes.

I’m really proud of hitting my March reading goal and discovering some new favorite characters along the way. April’s TBR is already calling my name, and I can’t wait to see where the next set of books takes me!

What did you read in March? Drop your faves—I’m always looking for new recommendations!
